Success. Name, Fame, Money. The world revolves around these. Success is not just a piece of cake. You need to work really hard to achieve it. Have you ever thought that what makes a person go the extra mile to achieve his/her dreams? Everybody wants to be rich and successful, but only a few actually put in the effort. Now, How can anyone find their passion?
1) Research
We are currently living in the information age. It was never this easy to know everything you want as it is now.
If you are a Student
You haven’t started your career yet. You are in the learning stage. Make the most out of it. Try to learn as much as possible about our world and how it works. There will always be a difference between what is taught in school and the real world. Don’t take academic success for real-life success. Although a good academic score gives you a better start, it’s quite not the end result.
Remember: Skills are more important than scores. A good score may get you a good job or a good college, but good skills make you successful. Nobody becomes successful just by scoring good grades. So, focus on skills. Now, what skills to focus on, depends on your interest. Learn whatever interests you and become good at it.
If you are an Employee
You have left the school world and stepped into the real world. You have a lot of real-world experience that any student could have. If you are happy with your current work then you are lucky, cause most people are not. They go to work because they can’t afford to stop. Now if you are one of those, then you need to change something. We spend 8 -10 hours a day working. That’s a lot of time. So if you are not happy there, you will suffer.
Think of any side passions you enjoy as well as you can make money from it. Learn the skills and start working part-time keeping your day job. Keep learning and improving your skills.
2) Consistency is the Key
You have found your passion, that’s fine. To become successful in your passion, you need to become an expert in your field. Expertise doesn’t come overnight. Make a plan to work on it every day. Challenge yourself to be better. It takes years to become an expert in any field. If you are not consistent, you can never reach the top. Here your passion makes you go ahead.
Learn from an Expert
If you get a chance to meet an expert in your field, don’t miss it. Learn from their experience. You cant learn everything by yourself, so learn from others. They are the people who have gone through all those struggles you should also experience. Learn as much as possible from them. The more you learn the better.
Learn from your Coligues
Learn from your coworkers. They have a different view from yours, try to understand their views.
Make mistakes and Learn From them
Nobody is perfect. And nothing is perfect. So make as many mistakes as possible. And learn from them. Never make the same mistake again.
3) Become an Expert in Your Field
You can observe that every successful person has achieved something unique in his/her field. Only an expert gets success. So strive to become an expert. Keep going until you reach the top. Compete with yourself.
4) Satisfaction is more important than Success
Satisfaction is the ultimate game-changer. If you are satisfied with your work, you are more likely to become successful. If you are enjoying your work, then you are already successful, the world is going to know it a little while later. Success is the side effect of Satisfaction.
5) Become a Life-Long Learner
Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching. – Unknown
No expert stays as an expert if he stops learning. Keep on learning, and be up to date knowledgeable. Set aside sometime every day to learn something new. Be an expert and Stay as an Expert by constantly learning.
